America's authority on all things food and dining related, The Daily Meal has turned its attention to Dubai and is counting two of our top-class eateries on its official list of the world's best. The ranking is compiled by the website's editors who travel the world in search of exceptional food. This year's mission saw them visit restaurants on six continents, in 50 countries and more than 80 cities.
The Rib Room is no stranger to the list, having featured last year, and The Daily Meal highlights the Wagyu beef tartare with barbecue relish and toasted sourdough bread, milk-fed veal ribs with honey-mustard glaze, and the Australian beef tomahawk steak with grilled asparagus, potato confit, and Roquefort sauce as must-try dishes.
Enclosed by seawater aquariums, the lavish decor at Al Mahara is enough to get it on the list before you dive into the menu, which features Obsiblue shrimp tartare from Caledonia, octopus carpaccio, and Alaskan king crab and foie gras ravioli. Mains include blue lobster from Brittany in orange and red vino sauce and lobster thermidor. For dessert, try the jellified hibiscus infusion with citrus salsa, yoghurt, and grapefruit sorbet, and almond meringue. And if that wasn't enough, you can order from a caviar selection that includes the Burj Al Arab’s own label.
Congratulation!
