Dubai Municipality completes preparations for 8th Dubai International Food Safety Conference

The organizing committee for 8th edition of Dubai International Food Safety Conference, has completed entire preparations for the conference, which will be held on 18 and 19 November 2013 in DWTC under the slogan 'Leadership in Innovation and Change'.
 
The conference that aimed at discussing important issues related to food safety in the light of increasing significance of the subject, will be organized in collaboration with International Association for Food Protection IAFP and a number of local and international organizations working in the Food Safety including Ministry of Environment and Water, DHA, UAE University, Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority.
 
To organize the conference DM partners with IAFP, the largest association of professionals in the field of food safety, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - CDC USA, The International Commission on Microbiological Specifications for Foods - ICMSF, International Federation of Science and Technology - IUFoST, Campden BRI and Environmental Protection Agency US. 
 
Eng. Khalid Mohammed Sherif, Director of Food Control Department at Dubai Municipality and head of Conference Organizing Committee said that this important international event organized by the civic body, in its previous editions, has attracted 7,300 participants from different parts of the world, in addition to hundreds of experts and specialists who presented above 500 scientific papers and researches in different specializations of food safety. 
 
"This year we are going to add an exhibition along with conference for the first time providing unique opportunity for all who interested in food safety issues at global lever in order to exchange ideas and thoughts on the latest updates of food safety issues in local, regional and international levels," Sherif said. 
 
"The agenda of conference is designed to discuss the latest developments in the field of food safety and to learn how to deal with and solve the current problems of food safety, wherein the conference will provide access to the latest information and best practices as well as to exchange views on addressing the related problems," he said.
